Meeting called to order at 4:00 pm by Stuart Heath,
filling in for Martha Weeks.
Minutes of the September meeting were approved with
a correction. The date of Maryann Mikell’s presentation in April is on the 14th
not the 13th as was noted in the September minutes.
The nominating committee will not need to meet this
year but will be meeting around this time next year. Please be considering
anyone you would like to nominate for membership in Sage and get their brief
biographical sketches to Geni by December 26th.
Born to Read has us on their mailing list now. If
anyone would like to contribute, their address is 703 Bladen Street, Beaufort,
SC 29902.
Debbie Gray enlightened us with her scholarly presentation
on the Army Laboratories at Watertown, MA. She fielded many intriguing questions
afterwards.
Stuart reminded us that there is no December
meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 5:10.
The next
regular meeting of the Sage Society will be held on November 12, 2019
at 4:00.
