2019 Newsletter
· Our
next Sage Society meeting is on Tuesday,
November 12, at 4:00 in Room 124 of the
Sandstone Building (the OLLI Room) at USCB.
·
At our November meeting, Carol Lauvray*
will give her presentation on Reconstruction in Beaufort.
· If
you would like to socialize, please arrive a bit early.
· We
do not meet in December.
· Our
Annual Meeting will be on January 14. At that meeting, we will:
1.
determine where to donate our dues collected for 2020.
2. vote
on new members.
*Carol, please give Geni a brief
paragraph about your presentation for the archives. Geni will share with Larry who
will post on the Blog.
· Everyone:
Give Geni Flowers Bouquet, Secretary, names of potential new members from the November
meeting to the end of December. Include a brief biographical paragraph.
1. I
will share these names and bios 10 days before the January meeting.
2. You
are encouraged to invite your potential new members to one or two meetings.
3. Let
the Secretary and President know who you will bring as a guest. Geni will
prepare a name tag for her.
4. All
potential new members will be wait listed, then voted on at the annual meeting
in January. Top vote recipients will be invited to join SAGE while others will
remain on the waiting list.
5. We
have one opening now. Filling this vacancy will bring us up to our “total” of
21 members.
