                       November 2022 Newsletter

Dear Sage Society Members,

Many thanks to Sandi Atkins who provided us with a “hands on” program in October with our own handmade felt ornament to take home.

We welcome our newest member to the Class of 2022, Vicki Mix.  Congratulations, Vicki.  Her contact information is included in the revised roster.

This month’s program, on November 8, is by our “Tech Genius”, Larry Koolkin, entitled, Jacques le Moyne, The First European Artist to Visually Document the New World.

We will not meet in December and our annual business meeting is January10th. It is at that meeting where we collect $25.00 in “dues” and then immediately allocate it.  The 2022 minutes reflect that we made a commitment to support Hopeful Horizons.

Sandi Atkins and Jen Moneagle recommended that the 2022 dues go to

Hopeful Horizons to create a children’s library in the emergency shelter.”

I would like to propose that we support them for at least one more year, but we can discuss this at the November meeting.

We have nominations for new officers which will be voted on at the January 2023 meeting:  President:  Grace Cordial;  Secretary:  Sandi Atkins; Member at Large: Jerry Stocks.

Mark these programs on your calendar for 2023:

·       January 10 Annual meeting, election of officers, no program.

·       February 14:  Diane Gallagher

·       March 14:  Peggy Pickett

·       April 11:  Organizing Family Archives: Practical Tips, by Grace Cordial

·       May 9:   Alvesta Robertson

It is not too early to begin thinking of your next program! We will begin planning for Fall of 2023.

Please remember to let me know if you should want to invite a guest. We would welcome a few more to our dedicated membership.  Our current roster is 19, including one on a leave of absence.
