MINUTES


Sage members in Attendance:

No Members Absent


Dues of $25.00, in cash, per member were collected at the beginning of the meeting.

The meeting was called to order at 4:30 pm.

Discussions were held on the following topics:

It was requested that when presenting, each member be required to turn in a short synopsis of their paper, a couple of sentences describing the topic of the paper, to the secretary/historian for archival purposes. A copy of this will be relayed to Larry Koolkin, Honorary Member and Technical Advisor, for inclusion in our online blog.

The slate of new officers were discussed, approved, elected unanimously and installed.

The by-laws were discussed. Changes are reflected in copies to be handed out at the next meeting.

A brief report was given as to the allocation of member dues for this year. Stuart will take the money ($250.00 ) to a counselor at Beaufort Elementary School. It was suggested that next year’s dues be donated to Friends of the Beaufort County Library for their Born to Read program. Donna made the motion to accept, Kathyrn seconded and the motion passed unanimously.

The next regular meeting of the Sage Society will be held on Tuesday, February 14th at 4:00 pm in the OLLI classroom (room 124 of the USCB Sandstone building.) 

The meeting adjourned at approximately 5:30.
