The Beaufort National Cemetery - Stuart Heath


The Beaufort National Cemetery is one of six national cemeteries established in 1863 by President Lincoln for the re-interment of Union soldiers and sailors who died in the region. 
Beaufort National Cemetery has more than 7,500 Civil War casualties-- both Union and Confederate-4,019 are unknown.
The presentation highlighted the following topics to tell the story of the Beaufort National Cemetery, and was presented by Stuart Heath on November 8, 2016.
