September 2021 Newsletter

Dear Sage Society Members,

We have had a two-month hiatus and I hope you are as eager as I am to return to our monthly meetings at the Pat Conroy Literary Center.

Our kick-off meeting is Tuesday, September 14 at 4pm where Mary Ann Mikell will have the program, The History of the Spanish Moss Trail.

Jerry Stocks will have our October 12th program on Mosaics. Details to follow.

On November 9 Rebecca Davenport will present to us.

With a heavy heart Geni Flowers has asked to resign for a number of reasons including a working hours conflict and some health issues which need her focused attention.  Not only was Geni a Charter Member she has served faithfully for two terms as our Secretary since 2021.   We have accepted her resignation with the strong caveat that she will return someday if it is possible.

Sandi Atkins has graciously agreed to step in and filled Geni’s unexpired term. Thank you Sandi.

And we have lost another Charter Member, Carol Louvray, who is moving to Greenville, SC, but hope she might visit us for a meeting during the year.

Please remember to let me know if you should want to invite a guest.  Most likely there will be room, but space is a bit limited so knowing ahead is very helpful.
